WINCHESTER
WINCHESTER brings historic depth to Class 13 because it is one of the classic names associated with firearms and ammunition. The mark has cultural reach well beyond the specialist trade and gives the page a sense of heritage. That makes the class content feel more substantial and less sterile.

Brand History & Trademark Analysis
The Winchester Repeating Arms Company was incorporated in New Haven, Connecticut in 1866, succeeding the Volcanic Repeating Arms Company and the Henry Repeating Arms Company. The Winchester Model 1873, advertised as "The Gun That Won the West", cemented the brand name in American and global culture. Winchester entered the UK firearms and ammunition market in the nineteenth century and the trademark became the subject of a significant UK counterfeiting and passing-off case in the 1970s involving replica products. The brand is currently owned by Olin Corporation, which has maintained the Winchester trademark continuously since acquiring it in 1931.
